Famed Hollywood legend Clint Eastwood has at last finalized his years-long separation battle, according to news sources. Connecticut residents will recognize Eastwood as a noted actor and director, but he has spent time in the spotlight in recent years as his divorce from his estranged wife Dina dragged on in a very public way. However, the couple has apparently finally reached a divorce settlement that works for them both.
The couple initially parted ways two years ago in Dec. 2012 after 49-year-old Dina cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for their split. Since then, they have been in and out of court and the public eye, in fiercely pitched battles over a number of divorce-related issues. Specifically, they have disagreed on the topics of custody of their teenage daughter, division of Clint’s $350 million fortune and also spousal support.
In more recent days, however, the couple seems to have come to a consensus. Their divorce papers were officially signed in late November, and they are slated to take effect on Dec. 22. This will mean both individuals will be considered single in the eyes of the law moving forward.
Divorce is not an easy process for anyone involved, including any children that might be affected. Connecticut residents may face similar issues to those faced by the former Mr. and Mrs. Eastwood, though obviously few people can claim asset division of that level. Regardless, it can be a difficult process for people of any financial class, and seeking out support to help deal with issues that arise can help lead to a faster and more efficient divorce settlement.
